What should I expect at a consultation?
Upon arriving at your house, I will take a history of your pregnancy, birth and your breastfeeding experience. I will examine you and your baby and discuss any breastfeeding difficulties you are experiencing. If you and your baby are ready for a feeding, I will weigh your baby before, patiently observe the feeding, and weigh your baby after so we can see how much milk your baby is getting. I will provide assistance and direction with any latching issues and offer optional positions for breastfeeding comfort.
The initial consultation usually takes 1 - 1.5 hours. The initial consultation is a flat fee. You don't need to worry if we go over the 1 hour.
I will leave you with a written plan of care with suggestions or referrals to other providers (if necessary.) I will send a full report to the baby’s Pediatrician and/or your health care provider (if needed.) I will also provide you with a receipt which you can send in to your insurance company or FSA (Flexible Spending Account) for possible reimbursement.

Fees and Payment Information
Initial Consultation: $300 - includes a 1 hour visit in your home and communication with your child’s Pediatrician and/or your Midwife/Ob/Gyn (in some cases.) Follow up included via text, email and/or phone.
Virtual e-consultation: $140 - includes a 40 minute consultation done over secure video. Follow up included via text, email and/or phone.
Initial Consultation for multiples: $330 - includes a 1 - 1.5 hour visit in your home and communication with your child’s Pediatrician and/or your Midwife/OB (in some cases.) Follow up included via text, email and/or phone.
Follow-Up Consultation: $220 - usually lasts 45 min- 1 hour We’ll review how your plan of care is working for your family and reassess any breastfeeding concerns you may have. Follow up included via text, email and/or phone.
Prenatal Consultation: $200 - You’ll have a personalized 1 on 1 visit and you’ll have an opportunity to get all your questions answered and concerns addressed.
Phone Consultation: 1/2 hour for $60
Private, Customized Prenatal Breastfeeding Classes:
One Couple: $150
Two or more couples: $100 each
