I’m passionate about helping mothers provide the best nutrition for their infants and children. Since 2001, I've worked as a nutrition counselor with the WIC (Women, Infants, and Children) program, and I’ve been an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) since October 2010.
WIC is a pro-breastfeeding initiative dedicated to enhancing the nutritional health of infants, and it has fueled my commitment to supporting mothers on their breastfeeding journeys.
My journey into lactation consulting began with my desire to educate and empower mothers. I had the privilege of studying under Gini Baker, RN, MPH, IBCLC, through the UCSD extension lactation program, which transformed my passion into a fulfilling career. Each day, I feel blessed to do what I love—helping mothers and their babies establish a nurturing bond through breastfeeding.
As a mother of three—Paige, Andrew, and Levi—I understand the challenges and joys of breastfeeding firsthand. My journey with Levi was particularly eye-opening. Despite initial hurdles, including a scheduled cesarean and delayed milk supply, I navigated various challenges with support from healthcare professionals. These experiences have deepened my empathy and strengthened my resolve to help other mothers overcome their own breastfeeding obstacles.
At Love in Leche, my mission is to empower mothers with the knowledge and tools they need to provide their babies with the lifelong gift of breast milk. I believe that every mother deserves support and guidance, and I'm dedicated to fostering that connection between mother and child.
Thank you for visiting my page. I look forward to supporting you on your breastfeeding journey!
